Sofi-VSM

Here I struggle a little to create a useful model that includes the critical features of Stafford Beer's Viable Systems Model (VSM) and Phillip and Diane Cousins' Sofi Model (Spheres of Influence).

The VSM explicitly represents the environment and the sub-divisons or operating units of the system in focus, where these are only implied in Sofi. And Sofi includes 11 spheres of influence rather than only 5 (or 6) functions in the VSM. Sofi is very explicit about the interactions between spheres of influence, where VSM has fewer named interactions between functions.

The concept of homeostasis is more clear in the VSM literature than in Sofi. Both models provide the structure for exploring recursive homeostatic relationships.
